Some people use a wardrobe, some a looking glass
some will find a train platform allowing them to pass.
Some use ruby slippers, some a magic wand
others special phone booths to reach a world beyond.
But those who’ve tried these portals
have found them unreliable.
They never know when they’ll be sent
and sometimes don’t know where they went.
Although they often recommend them,
I myself cannot defend them.
They’re not truly viable
for most of us mere mortals.
These intrepid nomads don’t seem to realise,
that all you really have to do is stop
…and close your eyes.
